I made this costume for the 2009 ACG Ball. It was a bit of a last minute project, so it needs a little work to be properly finished.

Construction

It's pretty basic - I drafted the bodice pattern, with centre front, back and side seams. It's edged with yellow satin binding, and does up at the front with hooks and eyes. The skirt wasn't quite as full as I would have liked as I was using some left over yellow satin from my Belle costume. It turned out okay in the end though. I opted not to do the white standing collar she wears - mainly because I ran out of time, but I also figured it wouldn't quite work with my longer hair. I wear it with one or two of my Victorian petticoats to bulk the skirt out a little, my Victorian 1850's corset and chemise.
