This was the first regency gown I ever made. I made it for the Pride & Prejudice Ball held by Earthly Delights in Canberra in 2007 or so. It's based on Nora Waugh's pattern, with ties fed through the neckline and under the bust, which are tied at the back to pull the bodice firmly against the body. I used embroidered taffeta and the ribbon around the waist is silk dupion.
The skirt is rectangular panels, which are sewn to the bodice flat at the front, and pleated at the back.
